Acknowledging via email - reply response not complete

Post by jbpatric »

Acknowledging an alert via email is awesome and is working for us but the email acknowledgement and comment are not formatting correctly.

Here are the details...
Receive an email notification.
Reply to that message with...ack and a comment
The alert is acknowledged

The acknowledgement email looks like this...
Email subject - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Service Alert - %host%/%service% is %servicestate%
Message body -
---- Respond above this line ----

***** Nagios XI Alert *****

This host problem has been acknowledged by Jim Patrick with a comment of '

Notification Type: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Service: %service%
Host: %host%
Address: %hostaddress%
State: %servicestate%
Info:
%serviceoutput%
Date/Time: 2019-06-28 07:15:10

Respond: https://nagios.whatever/nagiosxi/?xiwin ... %26host%3D
Nagios URL: https://nagios.whatever/nagiosxi/

To reply, keep the following data in your response email.

In the comment section of the acknowledged service it appears like this...

BUT, we also send notification emails to a Slack channel and those messages are formatting correctly.

Which version of XI is this? The 5.6.3 version should remove HTML tags.

Follow the steps in https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 22#p285948 to turn on some debug logging, reproduce the issue and provide the output.
