Cant delete dashboards

Hi,
Currently we are using Nagios XI 5.6.1 in RHEL 7.5. I have a user created custom dashboards for his own and he can see those dashboards in Home page. but when he navigate to Dashboards > Mange my dashboards, he has lot of Dashboards on empty title and he cannot delete those Dashboards. As an admin, i though to delete those dashboards but i cannot see those dashboards as an admin in dashboards.

Dashboards are specific to each user account and are not shared with all of the user accounts so that is why your account cannot see them.

Try this, login as that user in a different browser or System and see it the issue is still happening.
Or try and clear the browser cache.

If the dashboards still cannot be removed, try this.

Run this in a root shell

tail -f /var/log/httpd/*_log

Then have the user try and remove a Dashboard and post the output generated in the screen running the tail command.

Are the user dashboards cannot be stored in Admins Mange Dashboasrds list? I tried login as that user and delete dashboards but i couldn't.

No, the user dashboards are not stored in the Admins Mange Dashboards list so the only way to access them is to login as that user.

The tail output did not show any definitive errors but thanks for running it.

Two things you can try.

1. Change the user to an admin temporarily and see if they can be deleted.

2. Use the following procedure to delete all of the dashboards for that user, good and bad.

Run the following command to find the user_id for the user that is currently having the problem:

echo "select user_id, username from xi_users;" | mysql -t -uroot -pnagiosxi nagiosxi

Then, to delete the corrupted data that they have in the table for the dashboards:
- Change THEUSERID in the following command to the user_id from the above command.

echo "delete from xi_usermeta where user_id = 'THEUSERID' and keyname = 'dashboards';" | mysql -uroot -pnagiosxi nagiosxi

Then logout and login again and recreate the dashboards for that user.
