Best way to monitor Nagios Log Server?
On occasion, our Nagios Log Servers will stop collecting logs. What is the best way to monitor for this? Is there a way to have the log server itself tell us when it stopped collecting logs?

Monitor the system with NCPA and I'd definitely recommend watching the disk space and also using it to make sure the logstash and elasticsearch services are running:

You can also use the NLS wizard found in XI to periodically run a query that should always return results and then alert if nothing comes back:
