linux process match

Hi, seems to be having some grepping problem..

I am using the linux snmp workstation wizard template..

and get "No process matching postg found : CRITICAL" have tried all different combinations possible.. anything longer then "post" dont grep anything..

the postgres process lines all look like: "postgres: USER DATABASE (PID?) status" and the lines can get very long..

"check_xi_service_snmp_linux_process! -C public --v2c -n 'postg' -w '5,50' -c '3,70'"

i have probably done something wrong but cant seem to find it.. any suggestions ?

Just doing a snmpwalk on the machine and you can see the postgres processes..

This is because it is listing as postmaster not postgres

Yes i know, "post" gets the postfix processes..tried postgres/postg/post.. but it should also get the postgres ones or ?

If you look through the list returned, you can see there are no processes listed named postgres, they are named postmaster.

If you are going to snmpwalk, you would need to start at the OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2.1.2 as the plugin does.
