NPCD Not working

Hello, I am testing out NagiosXI for the company I work for. I just installed the VMware 64-bit image on our ESX server, right after I finished the install page and logged into the admin page for the first time I see that I have a System Problem. It shows that performance grapher is not running, when I try to start it it fails.

Can you enable logging by editing /usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/npcd.cfg
change to:
log_level = 2

then try to start npcd while looking at the log again to see if we can get more detailed information.
