Notification Email Address Change Not Working

Post by DigeGetThere »

Hello, I am new to Nagios in the past month or so, and have a smallish site with about 100 monitored hosts. In setting up notifications I had a typo in the email address of the primary notification email address. That has been corrected in Contact Management in Core Configuration Manager and the configuration applied. Viewing the config from the Contacts screen in CCM shows the correct email address. But yesterday we had a brief outage and alerts went out to the incorrect address. How do I correct this? Thank you!

This is an XI user and the XI notification handlers don't actually use that email address by default when sending notification, you would login as the user, click the username in the upper right of the page and change the email address there.

Thank you. Once I knew where to look I found the email address with the typo in it in the user account from Admin > Add new user account to get to Manage Users without having to log in as that user. Tested and working. :)
