Nagios XI AMI sending notifications to Verizon

Hello,

I have spun up an instance of Nagios XI following the guidehttps://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... -Cloud.pdf. It's working fine. However, when I try to send a notification to our on-call phone, the message is rejected by Verizon's SMTP-to-SMS gateway vtext.com. Notifications to non-Verizon numbers and regular e-mail worked with no special configuration.

It looks like there might be a way with Amazon SES, but I figured I should ask if you have any recommendations before I go down that rabbit hole.
