Host Group mapping behaviour !!

Post by rajsshah »

Hi
I have a finding with respect to hostgroup mapping behavior.
I have a server A configured in nagios . Also I have a host group Hg-Linux .

If I go to Configure--> Core_Config Manager --> Host Groups ---> Hg-Linux and then under Managed host add the Server A to it . I get the error during regular check "host check orphaned, is the mod-gearman worker on queue 'host' running?"

If I go to Configure--> Core_Config Manager --> Host --> Server A -- > Manage Host group and then assign Hg-Linux to it . My regular check runs fine .

Why this different behaviour ??

That does sound strange. Could you PM me you System Profile? In Nagios XI, go to Admin -> System Profile, and click the Download button. I can take a look at that, and see if I can find out why it's behaving strangely.
