Good afternoon,

The number of people managing our nagios xi has increased a lot, and with that we start to have standardization issues.

We found that many people register services in lowercase letters.
Other operators rerun discovery routines on the same host; but filling the name in upper case.

This has created a lot of inconsistency, and duplicity.

We also find that when people copy the name of Excel services or hosts; that certain problems occur; like leaving a blank space before the host name.

Would it be possible to implement a normalization in the input fields in future versions?
Performing Trim and LowerCase for example.

It looks like the white space is removed for the host field, but the associated services are not. I will go ahead file a bug report for this issue.
