Hello Nagios Support

Is there away to increase the numebr of the RRD data points to store better quality data?

Would this apply to the new checks (newly configured NCPA), without touching the existing RRD files?
- I would not want to lose the existing history.

So say I change the config, keep the existing RRDs and host/service checks intact, but create / replace some other checks?

- keep the "monitoring" / create&replace the "sla & long term history"

OR

Could we subject checks to different RRD configurations?

You didn't read what I told you to read. :-) "This is possible, but you will lose all previous historical data."

RRD files are not the easiest thing to work with. You could archive your current ones somewhere else for viewing with another tool, but if you go down this route with making changes to the RRD configs in Nagios XI, you will lose access to your old information.

And, no, at this time, there is no "per check" (or anything other than "per installation") configs for RRD. Make a great feature request though!
