Hello,
I have a question around notifications. Here is my scenario:
I have a host named "odbs". This host is setup to notify the "unix-admins" group for warnings, critical, recovery.
Under this host "odbs" I have several services. One of the services I am monitoring on this host is named "OracleProdDB Up". In this service I have alerts setup to notify a single contact named "dashboard". However, when the service goes down or comes back up, it's alerting everyone in the host group as well as the single contact. Is this expected behavior or have I mis-configured something? Thanks for your help!

Re: Notification Question
Did this host ever have the the unix-admins as a contact group?
Re: Notification Question
The host yes, but not the service. The host currently has the unix-admins contact group. The service however only has the "dashboard" contact.

Re: Notification Question
I think in order to troubleshoot this we will need the whole config snapshot, you can either send it via PM or open a trouble ticket via [email protected]
We will need this in order to check host/service escalations and any other relationships via configs.
Also, in XI if you go to Home -> Notifications do the extra Notifications for this show up there?

Re: Notification Question
I just read this again and must apologize that I miss read it the first time...
This IS expected behavior. If a contact is assigned to a host they will be notified for ALL services of that host.
