Alternately, you may need to stop nagios, edit the retention.dat and search for 07-20-2038

This should allow you to find the servicecomment section to delete.

Then restart nagios

I can but the downtimes remain. The services are listed as currently in a downtime when I click on them.

Ohhh, I thought they weren't actually in downtime anymore....

Can you follow the above and find the servicedowntime in the retention.dat for the offending services and remove them?

You need to do this with the nagios services stopped

Alternately you could go to this url (Core UI)

Code: Select all

/nagios/
Click Downtime on the bottom left and they may show there with a trash can icon to delete

Thanks Scott, they were indeed liste don the Core downtime page and I was able to delete them! XI's downtime page must not be as forgiving and Core's when it comes to 68544 days 123761253 hours, 373 minutes and 39 second long downtimes!

You can close this!
