Nagios Database VIEWS

Hi Team,

Does Nagios encourage Building VIEWS on NAgios Database for our Customization ( to query the data to use on another Datawarehouse ) . What happens during (New Releases) upgrades/migrations if this view will be dropped or ignored.

We don't encourage this, but don't prevent it either.

During an upgrade any additions you make to the database would be ignored. We also would not update your views though if the database schema changed.

Basically you would be on your own with the views, they would not be supported as they are not part of the NAgios XI package.
