Delete Files and Write Configs - Never ends

Post by ssoliveira »

We recently changed a large amount of services. And we are following the instructions on the "Config File Management" page.

We ran a "Delete Files" that ran in less than 1 second.

Writing Configs takes about 1 minute, and the page goes blank due to php timeout.

We increased the timeout limits in the php.ini file (according to nagios documentation), left it at 2, 3, and lastly 5 minutes.

However, the procedure does not end.

Monitoring the folder "/usr/local/nagios/etc/services"; We found that few records are returned in the database to disk before timeout occurs (about 44 files).

What can we do to do a Write Config?

Is there any way to do this other than via php?

We are unable to restart the environment; because I can't run this "Write Config"
