disable notifications for maintenance mode

so i have an api script which puts all my servers in a particular group into maintenance mode and when that happens it sends me notification emails about the down time, for example if i put server A into maintenance mode, i get an email saying server A has been schedules for downtime, how can i avoid getting this notification? i have alot of servers and when i shedule these downtimes i get over 2000 emails just letting me know its been put to downtime, its affecting my mail server and i will like to know if i can bypass that.

You can disable the scheduled downtime notifications in your contact's notification_options.

That's the only way to do it currently.
