Complex Notification Escalations

Post by rtpipkin »

Hi, I was asked to see if it's possible to configure Notifications on a specific service to be sent to different teams based on how long the service had been in a critical status.

I don't see a way to accomplish this without multiple service definitions. Does anyone have an idea of how to accomplish this?

For example:

1) If Service A goes into a critical status send notification to Team B immediately.
2) If Service A stays in a critical status for 60 minutes send notification to Team A.

Yes, this is exactly what Nagios XI escalations are.

Here is a document outlining how they work and how to set them up
