Remember the time you helped to troubleshoot the nagios queue pile up issue a few times.
We resolved the issue temporarily by reverting back to a single tier design, app & db in the same server.

The root cause is the http load, where users have the screens open and it is refreshing.
Turn off httpd service for 2 to 3 minutes and the ipcs queue drops to 0, even if the queue is over 300,000
Hope you can trigger something internally to address this.
