I would like to install new plugins, as mine are old, and possibly update nrpe.
I have the download for the 2.3.1 plugins.
I have nagios core 4.1.1, and nrpe 2.14.
First, I need to know if, or how, I uninstall the current plugins.
I also need to know if I have to update Core, from what I can find, I shouldn't have to.
Do I also need to update nrpe? If so, how does that uninstall go?
I haven't found anything that dictates how to remove these items. I know how to install, just not remove.

Re: plugin and nrpe update
It all depends on how they were installed to start of with. Is the plugins and NRPE installed via the OS package manager like YUM or APT?
If yes, you either need to upgrade via that or uninstall them before continuing as they may overwrite upgrades in the future.
Otherwise when installing from source you old files are simply written over with the upgraded files.
Each component can be upgraded individually.

No, there were installed from source, and I would be doing it from source again.
From what i can tell, core 4.1.1 works with these plugins, so I will just do the plugins.
That's for the clarification!
