Keep Alive Session Timeout impact on performance?

Post by TBT »

Our NOC has several display screens with NagVis Maps. These maps experience session timeout due to inactivity (as expected).

Setting security aside, from a resource perspective of users leaving tabs/browsers open, would disabling Keep Alive Session Timeout impact XI performance over time?

Hello @TBT,

I suppose if you have too many tabs or session open that may impact font-end performance, but keep in mind there are quite a few settings in Admin > System Config > Performance Settings that can be adjusted.

If you are noticing specific performance loss, let us know the setup and I can try to re-create this on my test server.
