I using the latest version of nagios.
I've just discovered the Nagios RESTFUL api and was able to use it to pull all of the hosts and services and then create an excel spreadsheet.
My question is are there more advanced options available that aren't covered in the documentation?
for example, I would like to pull a list of hosts and the services that are associated with the host and the contacts that are to be notifiedfor that host.
there will be other types of spreadsheets that i will be creating from nagios using the RESTFUL api, and any information that you guys may have that will show me how to get and format the data will be very helpful.

Re: Question about the Nagios API
Hi @benhank,
That API documentation is complete as far as its current capabilities. Someone else just asked about this a couple days ago, and improving the API (especially retrieving the full object relationships) is definitely something that's on our radar.

Re: Question about the Nagios API
I hope I didn't give the wrong impression. The documentation is clear and pretty good. I was just wondering if there are more options available that the documentation did not cover.

Nope, no worries at all. That's just where we're at. The documentation covers everything that's available. No hidden easter eggs to be found.
