Ha setup for nagios

I would like to setup ha for nagios in our environment and I would like to know how we can achieve this for below scenarios at same time.

1) want to setup HA(Active/Passive) so when nagios goes down on primary Active node, automatically nagios has to come up on secondary passive node , also how to have sync between all the files and data with primary and secondary.

2) want to setup HA(Active/Passive) so when primary Active goes down , secondary passive node should become active and nagios should come up automatically on this node, also all the files and data to be in sync in both primary Active node and secondary passive node

Please let me know step by step procedure on how to set up this HA
