Mysql Offloading for Nagios XI

Hi
Can you suggest why should or Should not I Offload Mysql for Performance of Nagios XI . Any Performance Data and Statistics available for for justification of Offloading Mysql to Seperate server
Can you give me some link / information as justification to increase performance in case of Offloaded Mysql for Large environment .
Practically I need a Justification Document and Data for Offloading Mysql for Performance issue .

Hello @biswajit.banerjee,

In short, the reason for offloading the database is that it can reduce CPU / Memory resources on the XI Server. However, it also introduces additional resources required to transmit data/back and forth over the network. It depends on the network setup ( best to use a dedicated NIC and implement Jumbo frames for the most benefit). Unfortunately, we don't have published data and improvements. We've seen customers offload the database and move it back again locally. I would recommend taking other steps to improve performance before offloading the database.
