should nsca-2.9 client work with Nagios 3.5.1 server?

Post by vvz »

Hi!

I have Nagios Core 3.5.1 server and about 30 hosts monitored ... all of them have nsca 2.7 client and I have no problem at all

Added new CentOS 7 host to the network. Run #yum install nsca on the host and as a default one nsca-client 2.9 was installed

I remember a few years ago 2.9 client had problems with Nagios 3.5.1.

question: was problem solved? Can I have nsca-client 2.9 on client machine and Nagios 3.5.1 on my server?

thank you
