Not able to get default page

I deployed the Nagios core on Apache. There is already an app running on 80, so change the Listen port to 8081 in the file
cd /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf.
The other page in the apache's default location does come up on 80. Please advise what am i missing. There were no deployment errors.

Can you share that file?

Did you restart apache after making the change?
Is the firewall open on 8081?

What OS is this setup on?
