Socket timeout after 10 seconds

Getting again again alerts on so many servers by stating "Socket timeout after 10 seconds" can any one help for this issue to sort out.

What type of checks are these? NRPE?

Can you post a service definition for one of these that is failing along with a command definition that is used by the service?
