Hello all,
I'm not sure where it would be best to ask this, but I've searched online to death, and I decided I would come to you.
Our Nagios system is getting wider visibility throughout our different areas of business and they are liking what they see. We're starting to get emailed requests for adding systems to our Nagios XI.
I discussed this with a colleague who co-admins Nagios for our company. We've recently gone through a hardware replacement/upgrade, and now that the primary and backup systems are configured, I want us to come up with formal ways to document the requests coming in.
When I ask any other line of the business (IE, Firewall Team) for help, they refer us to a front-door process. I don't want to inject any type of red tape or significant delay to our customers, because I know they are extremely happy with how quickly our turnaround time is. But I think that we definitely need a standard request form, or intake form.
Before I reinvent the wheel, there must be someone out there who has already built this kind of document or spreadsheet. Are you aware of any customers who might have one that we could copy?
Many thanks!
Regards,
JLu
Front Door Request Forms?
Re: Front Door Request Forms?
I've not personally seen anything already pre-made for this, I'll leave it open so others can chime in.

NotesRe: Front Door Request Forms?
Thanks.
I’d like to include escalation paths as well. I can’t express enough how upset I get when our front line teams ignore alarms.
I hope someone has an example. I’m swamped.

Re: Front Door Request Forms?
Great idea! I didn't even think about escalation paths.
