NagiosXI Notifications Not Being Sent to A Distribution List

Post by [email protected] »

I have configured a user as a notification contact and configured the notification settings for that user and NagiosXI is reporting that it is processing the smtp to send the email to the distribution list but the email is not being received.

I can masquerade as the user and send a test email which is successful and send the distribution list a report, but any email sent from a notification is never received.

NagiosXI is configured to use SMTP on port 25 and is an unauthenticated relay, and works for normal mailboxes and reports and test email are fine. It seems to be when the server uses xicore.inc.php to send to a DL it doesn't work.

Thanks

Does nagios "think" a notification has been sent? Do you see the notification in the Notifications report?

Reports > Available Reports > Notifications

I would recommend that you enable debugging for the phpmailer, following the steps, outlined in the KB article below:

https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/p ... g-820.html

This may help you identify the problem.
