Inventory Management

Post by bclanton »

Is it possible to use Nagios Core as an asset management service? We use Nagios exclusively for monitoring, but we would like to possible have it report back basic PC specs like 'operating system', 'drive space', 'memory', 'service tag', etc..

Nagios does not have a built-in inventory management feature

Is there a 'common' open source plugin/platform that will work in conjunction with Nagios that procides Pc inventory feature? We as a company already use Nagios Core to monitor client resources. If we can somehow leverage Nagios reporting services, that would be ideal.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any that do this, but I will leave the thread open in case a community member has any experience with something like this
