Nagios XI license key file

Hi,

I have a test server running with Nagiosxi and I have installed another server which is supposed to be prod. Both servers are currently running with trial version. When I backup nagiosxi using backup scripts and restore in the prod server, the license info also copied. May I know the file/dir path with license info in nagiosxi so that I can copy the file before restore?

If you want to use a demo for your prod environment, you'll just need to setup a new one and mirror your settings. Please refer to [email protected] if you want to extend your demo which can be done under some circumstance.

No, I’m not going to use Demo for Prod. I am already in the process of buying XI license. I’m building a new XI server which is supposed to be prod and I believe I just need to update and activate the license once I have the key. I thought the trial version features are same with the licensed version except the 2 moths trial period. Am I right? Do I need to reinstall/ upgrade once I purchase the license?

Sorry if I misunderstood your post! Yes, the trial features are the same as the demo features.

Thanks again. The issue I have here,
my test server trial version is almost expiring (18 days remaining). I have build the prod sever today. It shows 60 days remaining. Then backup the nagios xi from test sever and restore in the prod server (used backup/restore scripts). Now the license remaining time has changed to 18 days. How can I update the license info back to 60 days?
