I have a potential NagiosXI client who has the following query. Could you please advise?

The support for Linux endpoints are clear on Nagios support matrix but support for AIX endpoints are not so clear.
We are running AIX 7.1 and 7.2 and Nagios shows support for AIX 5.3 and 6.1 only which are end of support a while ago.
Can you please confirm support for agents on AIX 7.1 and 7.2 endpoints and which agent would be best supported (NCPA or NRPE)"

Yes, we support AIX endpoints.
Although both NRPE and NCPA are compatible with AIX, we recommend that you use NCPA. It is our new and improved cross platform agent.
