If I add a member to a hostgroup in XI, it shows up in XI but does not show up in core.
If I add a member to a hostgroup in core, it shows up in XI.
I have added ~50 members through the bulk import wizard and joined them to the wrong hostgroup and would like to do a bulk change, but can't seem to do that in core because they aren't showing up as members.
Host Group Members Don't Sync between XI and Core
Re: Host Group Members Don't Sync between XI and Core
What version of Nagios XI are you using?
Can you outline what you mean by adding a member to a hostgroup in Core? How are you adding these? If I add a member to a hostgroup in core, it shows up in XI.
Re: Host Group Members Don't Sync between XI and Core
Nagios XI 2011R3.2
Windows Server wizard - Step 6 "Define which hostgroup(s) the monitored host should belong to (if any)."
OR
Home>host detail> select a host > configure tab > reconfigure this host > groups tab.
Either place works in XI and shows up as a member of the specified group in XI but does not show up in core where I can make mass changes.
Unless there is a way to make mass member changes to a hostgroup in XI that I don't know about yet.

Re: Host Group Members Don't Sync between XI and Core
Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing, when you say "Core", are you talking about the Nagios Core web UI at http://yourserver/nagios, or the Core Config Manager, which is the advanced Config Manager for XI?
Re: Host Group Members Don't Sync between XI and Core
Nagios Core Configuration Manager > Host Groups
Re: Host Group Members Don't Sync between XI and Core
OH, ok. That makes more sense. In Nagios you can set up either host->hostgroup relationships, or hostgroup->host relationships. So if you access the host configuration you should see the hostgroup selected. The current CCM doesn't show hostgroup relationships from both directions, but this is corrected in our new CCM that will ship with our 2012 release.
Here's our new CCM Beta component if you want to try it out. It installs alongside the existing Core Config Manager through the Admin->Manage Components page.
