NagiosXI unable send email to Distribution list

Hi Team,

We have a NagiosXI running on our lower environment, which is unable to send email alerts over to Distribution lists. Email alerts just going fine to the individual/user email addresses.

Could you please advise?

NagiosXI version is - 5.6.9 and it runs on RHEL 7.

Hi @Pselvin,

It might be something in the configuration options. Did you create a contact for this and then use the email settings for the distribution list? If so, let me know the exact contact name.

Please send us a system profile, and I can review the logs and the configurations for you. Also, if you are using SMPT for your Outbound Email Settings ( go to Admin > System Config > Email Settings to check ) be sure to enable Logging.

Looking at /var/log/messages, there are some database errors there, let's go head a run the database repair scripts as well.

Thanks for your help.
Yes, I created a contact for the DL and using that in Contact group to send an alert. The same contact group have user or individual email address and Distribution lists, Emails are just going through fine to all the individual addresses however, DL's are not receiving the emails.

I ran the database repair command and here is the output.

This issue has been fixed, I had to create a new user contact for the DL and were able to pass the alerts. Now this thread can be closed. Appreciate your help Benjamin.
