Slow apply config after upgrade to 5.7

After upgrading to 5.7, most of the times applying configuration is very slow. What cai I do to speed it up again?

How long is it taking approximately?

I know in another thread you mentioned using the bulk rename tool, when using that it can take a bit longer for the run that follows that change as there can be numerous files that changed.

Does it take a long time consistently?

The issue is still present while I used the bulk renaming tool days ago. We are configuring the box so we apply new configurations very often. Some times it takes a few seconds and some other times, even with a very small config change, it will take a couple of minutes.

This can vary in amount of time as part of the Apply configuration process is waiting for the nagios engine to stop, and to do so it has to wait for results of all the checks that it has already started. If you have some checks that can take some time to get results and they are in the process of being checked, it would be longer.

So if I disable most of the service checks, it should go back to be always fast, right? I'll test it to be sure I don't have any strange issue in my Nagios box.

While not really a solution, yes, it should be faster if nagios isn't checking many services

Yes I know that's not a solution but I want to check that there is no problem after the upgrade by going back to the last configuration we used pre-upgrade.

Honestly I'm confident that we still will be having the issue because I started noticing this behaviuor right after the 5.7 upgrade without changing any configuration...
