Service not going in hard state

Hi team ,

My server's service was stopped for 11 hours but i did not receive any notification . I checked the logs for that day and found that service was critical but in soft state and didnot change into hard state .

check_attempts: 3
retry_interval: 2
normal _interval :2

Also when i see the last notification in status preview : it shows : N/A ( notification 1 )

Can you please help in this ?

Hi,

What version of Nagios Core are you using? There was a similar bug that was patched in 4.4.3:

* Fixed services in soft states sometimes not switching into hard states (#576) (Jake Omann)
