Schedule a Daily Downtime for a Host??

Post by Honess_84 »

Hi Everyone,
I am a new user to Nagios and was wondering if there is a way to have a daily, persistent scheduled downtime for a host. I have a troublesome host that requires a reboot twice a day.

In Nagios 3.4.1 when I go to scheduled downtime for host (in the webinterface), it has the start time and end time, however this is only for 1 day.

Is there a way I can add the downtime schedule for eveyday at certain times. Without making an individual entry for every day of downtime?

Thanks

This feature is not built in to Nagios Core, but there's a script to do it for you here.

Thanks for your reply, did some major googling and you can actually just change the Timeperiods for the host. http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/timeperiods.html

Yes, that feature is a little different than recurring downtime, but if that works for you it will definitely be easier to set up!
