logstash upgrade

Post by newmember »

could I replace the logstash version?

currently installed with nls:
ubuntu@ip-10-247-0-158:/usr/local/nagioslogserver/logstash/bin$ ./logstash -V
logstash 2.4.1

The one I would like is:
logstash release 7.8(current)

I am after the newer tools like 'dissect'

Thanks

Nagios Log Server is designed to work with a very specific version of Logstash and should not be updated outside of the normal upgrade process.

You could install a separate version of Logstash on a different server and feed the logs to your Nagios Log Server cluster, but this would not include the configuration management that is included in Nagios Log Server
