REST API for Updating Alert/Notification

Post by pmudaiya »

Hi Team,

Opsgenie allows 2 way communication with NagiosXI. while pushish data from Opsgenie to NagiosXI it uses components and have ticket-username authentication.

Now since Backend components are deprecated by NagiosXI and they have moved to REST API and APIKey authentication. Could you please help us with list of API's which allows to modify/acknowledge/un-acknowledge an ongoing alert.

In the Help Sections all the API's that are mentioned are related to host and service. No API's updates alerts

I am also getting "Your session has been timed out" when i am using ticket and username. I have already enabled Backward compatibility in Admin Panel and insecure login using ticket.

The API doesn't have this functionality so you'll need to use the old method. There are two places to enable the old method - under the user's account Information section as well as the global setting under Admin > System Config > System Settings > Backward Compatibility.
