Are you trying to configure Log Server on a machine that is already hosting another website? "Apache" and "httpd" are pretty much different names for the same service. I suppose that you could configure multiple sites using virtual hosts, but we highly recommend that Log Server is cleanly installed on its own machine.

Can you please show us the contents of your install.log? That may tell us more about what's going on.

Unfortunately, we cannot support installing Nagios Log Server on a machine already running Nagios Core. Can you install Log Server on a clean machine? I think you will run in to less issues that way, with less conflicting packages.
