Service Check Delay for Alert

Post by njbhatt18 »

Hi,

We have implemented Nagios XI for monitoring, We are facing an issue like for CPU hike which is for 5 to 10 seconds or for 5 minutes then also Nagios is sending alerts. We need to configure like for 3 checks if the same alert is there like a warning or critical then it will send an alert. If for 1 or 2 checks if things get normal then there will be no any email alert.

How we can do it?

Many Configuration Wizards have an option for how many times to retry a check before returning its state. You could also set the check interval to a longer time.

You can change the max check attempts on an existing check by navigating to the Configure section using the bar on top > clicking Core Config Manager under Advanced Configuration on the left pane > then Services under Monitoring > and then click on the name of the service or host you want to alter.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
