NCPA Timeout Error for Windows Cluster Nodes

Post by CoMAdmin »

Hi there. When using NCPA, I am getting the following error at all times for only Windows cluster nodes:

(Service check timed out after 60.01 seconds)

I was about to increase the timeout globally from the config file but wanted to check if anyone had other suggestions considering that this is only happening with the cluster nodes.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just to be sure, those hosts are added using each machine's individual IP address, rather than a virtual IP address. Is that correct?

If so, the first thing that comes to mind is that the firewall may have been enabled on those hosts.

Hit the nail on the head! Even though the in Windows Firewall, the Domain Profile had the firewall turned off but I hadn't noticed that the Public Profile (possibly configured by Windows for the 2nd replication network) had the firewall turned on. Turning off the firewall fixed this issue.

Thanks so much!

Excellent! Thanks for following up on this.

We'll go ahead and close this out but feel free to open another ticket if you have any new questions.
