Help with Nagios XI

So i just downloaded the NagiosXI vhd file and booted it from Hyper V. Have logged in with the Root account and am nor faced with a blinking cursor! I have no Linux experience at all......What do i do now?!

Thanks for testing out Nagios XI and joining our Community Forum. Let's see, did you follow the instructions in the setup guide for Hyper VI?

Installing Nagios XI with Hyper-V

Do you see the Nagios logo in the command prompt as show on page 8, if so login using the following credentials:

user: root
password: nagiosxi
## Find the ip address
hostname -I

Open up your web browser and go to:

Code: Select all

https://<ip address>/nagiosxi

Let me know if you get it going. If not a screenshot of any errors would be very helpful.
