How to stop alerting for a specific service 00:00-03:00

Post by gkrupitsky »

Hi team,
How to stop alerting for a specific service during specific time only, without interrupting the general alert service.
Let's say I do not want to get a certain alert I am getting during a time period only, without affecting the entire alert schema.

The question is how to drill down to a specific alert, and disable only this specific alert during specific time.

You can achieve this by adjusting the time period options on the contact for that notification. Navigate to the Configure section of XI using the top bar > click Core Config Manager under Advanced Configuration on the left pane > then click Contacts under Alerting > click on the relevant contact > select the Alert Settings tab > and there you will see options to change whether Host Notifications [are] Enabled and for what Host Notifications Timeperiod.
