Nagios XI latest on Centos 8

Hi,

i set up a server on vmware with Centos 8 (centos-release-8.2-2.2004.0.1.el8.x86_64) and installed Nagios XI Latest https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... -Linux.pdf

After the successful installation of Nagios XI https://abload.de/image.php?img=anmerku ... 09ujpw.png I had the following problems - same installation with Centos 7 works fine:

- The Winodws WMI Configuration Wizards says: "WARNING: wmic binary has not been installed. See documentation on Installing WMI" which shouldn`t be the case since Nagios XI 2012 according to the Installing WMI documentation
- The NCPA setup works fine, till I see the results: A - b" - is displayed in fornt of every result, on console and webinterface so that no graphs are created.

after the release of Nagios XI 5.7.2 the NCPA is working as intended. (I did a clean install again.)

However the WMI Wizard is still showing "WARNING: wmic binary has not been installed. See documentation on Installing WMI".

Do you have an update on this issue?

Thanks for checking in, there are some compile issues right with that package on Cent 8, and while I don't have an exact date for a fix, we are currently working to correct the issue.

after a month and a half there still seems to be no solution.

Thanks for your patience on this one. It will be fixed in 5.7.3, and this will be released in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, I don't have a firm release date on that right now.

Just an update here, 5.7.3 was released yesterday, please upgrade to the latest and then upgrade the WMI Wizard by going to Admin >System Extensions > Config Wizards.. .then select check for updates and update the WMI wizard and the others if you'd like.

If you have any issues, you can try running the command below to install.

thanks for the update. The Update of Nagios and the Config Wizard was successful done but regarding to my problem it wasn't the solution.

The solution after doing updates is the one, that worked for me:

Hi Benjamin,

On a fresh install with Nagios XI 5.7.3 the NCPA problem is back.
The WMI wizard is working.
