juts updated to 5.7.3 (yep, a month late!) and seeing very similar symptoms.
reverted back to 5.7.2 untill a get a bit more time to confirm it is the same and downgrade to ndo2 which i assume will fix.

Hi,

We should have the next maintenance release out in a few weeks. My recommendation would be to deploy a test server on the next upgrade, especially if you're running an older OS (e.g. Cent 6).

Benjamin

just upgraded from 5.7.2 to 5.7.4 and everything looks good both immediately after upgrade and after a reboot. no abnormal behaviour with mysqld CPU time, checks are immediate and based on htop output you've abandoned (at least for this .4 release) ndo3 and keeping with ndo2db.

ok, i've only been running the upgrade for 5-10mins but so far so good...

Using the YUM repository - we upgraded from 5.7.1 to 5.7.4-1 and did not have any issues! NDO2DB stayed the same and did not have to be back leveled. RHEL 7 Server btw...
This also solved a problem with Nagios Fusion reporting server host status as pending and not in the UP status. Good day - 2 fixed issues!
