I want to monitor process and DB on several SUN Server's "ZONE" but without success.
I tried using Wizards and some plugins to monitor, there always an error message? but same Wizard and plugins can successful monitor other OS platform.

Could you be more specific in what plugin you are trying to use and the errors you are receiving.
Thanks.

Re: How to monitor SUN Server's Zone?
First are you sure you have SNMP setup on this machine and it is reachable from the Nagiox XI machine (no firewall blocking)?
If so, is the community string correct?
Can you run this from the XI console?
Finally, is this a Solaris machine?

Code: Select all
snmpget -v 2c -c public 172.17.1.17 sysUpTime.0

Hi Scott, bad news, our client didn't even install net-snmp on that machine(we thought they did), sorry for that!!
(Our client said they couldn't install net-snmp in the Zone of SUN Solaris machine.)

I'm going to mark this resolved.
However you may be able to use one of the following methods on the Solaris server
http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... stallation
http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... -using-ssh
