We want to monitor cluster availability for RAC DB through Ngaios Core.
Could you please help us to understand how this can be achieved?

There are a few configuration wizards already for monitoring individual Oracle databases and servers, including one that can run an SQL query against an Oracle database and give back the results. Go to Configure (top menu) => Configuration Wizards, then click on the Databases icon or type "oracle" in the search.
If you're feeling adventurous, you could also try to set up and use check_rac third-party plugin, which is apparently geared toward monitoring the whole RAC cluster.
