Hi,
I'm currently running a couple of Nagios Log Server clusters v2.1.6 running on CentOS 7.6.1810 as originally deployed from the Nagios Log server.ova. These servers are featuring prominently in our vulnerability scans and I should like to upgrade Centos to 8.2, Apache, and PHP. Might you offer any guidance on upgrading these components, compatibility or post-upgrade NLS validation? Any assistance appreciated.
Best-
-John
Upgrade questions
Re: Upgrade questions
Take a snapshot of VM first and foremost before attempting to upgrade and try it on a lab install version of NLS if you can. I've not had any success so far upgrading Cent 7 to Cent 8(following https://www.tecmint.com/upgrade-centos-7-to-centos-8/) so can't provide any post upgrade steps at this point.
Another option would be to install NLS on a machine that is already running Cent 8. You should be able to join the two machines in a cluster so that the data is synced between the two. Once that is done you'd remove the Cent 7 machine and re-IP the Cent 8 machine to have the IP of the (now offline) Cent 7 machine.
