Monitor Fujitsu L100/Flashwave/T300/T310

Post by krw »

Hi.

I was not involved in the decisions on this product but was pulled into it
long after the fact.

Now as the server/sysadmin guy who handles well, server admin stuff, I had
to build out a brand new physical server for ESXi and build three RHEL VM's needed
for managing this Fujitsu gear.

There are a lot of shortcomings I find with Fujitsu, but as I had no say in
this I have to roll with it.

My main one gripe is that their software tools for configuration of said products
do not have any mechanism for managing or sending alerts to NOC teams if an
alarm were to get triggered.

They have something called a MicroApp that is another layer of software on top of
their other software that I am waiting to get access to, but in the meantime does
anyone have any experience with monitoring Fujitsu long haul fibre gear with NagiosXI
or plugins that might help?

Thanks,
Keith

I don't think any of the Fujitsu plugins on the exchange(https://exchange.nagios.org/index.php?o ... rd=Fujitsu) are for this device, but it looks like a lot of them use SNMP and this one may as well. In which case I would recommend taking a look at the SNMP Walk wizard for setting up checks in XI - https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... Wizard.pdf and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGUIbM09TKc.
