Unable to create new Service Escalation

Post by QS1 »

Nagios XI 2011R1.7
CENTOS 5.7 32 BIT
VMWARE Image
KDE desktop

I've attached two screen shots that step through the creation of a Service Escalation within the CCR. My Services* selection is blank and when I select the notepad to the immediate right for available Serivces it displays Modify selection Contacts? Because the services area is blank I am not permitted to save the settings within the CCR

I've rebooted the nagios server but no luck..same outcome. I have no previously saved escalations but I know this did work correctly at some point. I have a screen shot from April 2012 I created for internal documentation that shows all entries applicable . No other updates or add-ons have been applied since then. Any ideas?

It seems like the "Services" field doesn't get populated, when a "Hostgroup" is selected. This may be associated with this bug:

We had a variety of escalations bug fixes since Nagios XI 2011R1.7. Please, review the changes here:

I would recommend upgrading to the latest version of Nagios XI.
