i have installed a virtual machine , running vm player and my nagiosxi is running form there
My question is do i have to log into the virtual machine and use the web portal form this virtual machine or would i be able to access the web portal form any pc?

Welcome to the Nagios Support Forum!
As long as the port is open (80 or 443) you should be able to reach this page from another device on your local network. However, I would consult your network admin for configuring access outside your network (e.g using a VPN).
